Every two weeks the last fluent speaker of a language passes on and with him/her goes literally hundreds of generations of traditional knowledge encoded in these ancestral tongues.

Living Tongues
Institute for
Endangered
Languages has
many ongoing
documentation
projects
currently taking
place around the
world. We need

sustain these
projects. Our
mission is to
record vanishing
languages as
well as create
state-of-the-art
digital
audio-visual
materials in
collaboration
with speakers of
endangered
language.
In buying one of
our products,
all funds will
go directly to
helping
linguists and
language
activists
document,
conserve and
maintain an
endangered
language. You
are also helping
future
generations gain
access to
printed
materials or
online resources
produced in
their own
language.
All of our
products are
made with
environmentally
friendly
materials, such
as canvas and
cotton, and all
of our
screen-printing
is done by hand
using
water-based
inks. The
products are all
